Congratulations John! Gary, nothing wrong with posting this here. John's a Bearcat football player who's bringing a great deal of recognition to the Bearcat program. As you can see, you can't be openly proud of your son or you're "tooting your own horn". You should also make John understand the same thing. The more success he has, the fewer friends he'll probably have as well. He'll be told he's not as good as he thinks he is, even though professionals across the country say otherwise. You'll see that many parents and kids will be jealous and if it's not happening for them, then no one is deserving. I don't really care who wins the QB spot for the Cats this year. I think all the possible candidates are fine, but if a sophomore ends up being the best choice in the end, the job shoud be his. You should also know ahead of time Gary if John is the starter it'll be because you help with the team, not because he's 1 of only 65 QB's nationwide from the 2013 class to be currently recognized by Rivals.com. For those of you who don't know, Rivals is one of the biggest college recruiting sites in the country. By the way, the coaches don't always do "the right thing". Ed Hammers told Andy he wasn't good enough to be the JV punter, others were better. REALLY? Houston Riley should also have been starting since his sophomore season.
